RECYCLING OF CONTAMINATED GLASS AND SOx LAMPS

An alternative to incineration

This treatment is an interesting alternative for the incineration normally used for such waste, as it enables more than 80% of the weight to be recycled.

How it works

The contaminated glass is crushed, washed, decontaminated, sorted and graded. The different fractions are recycled.
In its laboratories REVATECH already treats laboratory glass, glass contaminated by hydrocarbons and SOx lamps. This technique can also be used by other segments of the glass market (e.g. automotive glass).

DECONTAMINATION

The combination of mechanical and physicochemical treatment makes it possible to recycle, reprocess or eliminate polluted packaging, containers and components from dismantling of industrial installations.
Decontamination is a customised treatment technique, one that demands specialist personnel. It is an interesting alternative to incineration.

Decontamination can be used for the following materials:

• soiled packaging (plastic film) and metal or plastic containers with traces of chemical products;

• valves, pumps, pipework and all type of machines that have been in contact with chemicals;

• pieces from dismantling of industrial production plant.
